Our Workshops
Our 5 day workshops cover all aspects of media production, from pre-production planning to post-production, including the opportunity to learn about acting on screen.
Those interested in production roles will learn a wide range of technical skills, from operating cameras and sound equipment to lighting, editing, producing, and directing, through practical learning and creative problem solving.
Those interested in performance roles will learn the principles of acting to camera, character development, explore different genres, and learn how to present to camera like a professional reporter, YouTuber, or TV presenter.
With guidance from our team of top industry professionals, students will gain invaluable knowledge and hands-on experience in every aspect of media production.
We believe that our workshops should appeal to all students, not just those looking to pursue a career in the media industry.
Our workshops aim to teach transferable skills through practical media production and confidence building that can applied across any professional field.
At the end of the workshop, students will receive a professionally produced video for their showreel, showcasing their newfound skills and creativity. Our team is committed to creating a relaxed and inclusive environment where students can learn and grow, all while having a blast.

At MediaLabsX we take our workshops seriously, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun! We understand that learning can be a daunting experience, especially when it comes to developing skills for a career in the media industry. MediaLabsX offers students the chance to learn practical media production skills through our Acting and Production modules. In Acting, students will explore characterisation, acting to camera, acting on green screen, and presenting. In Production, they will learn scripting, camera and sound equipment operation, lighting, editing, producing and directing, as well as self-shooting and social media.
We treat every student with the respect they deserve, and encourage them to express themselves in their own unique way. Whether they're interested in creating a professional video or want to explore performance for camera, our team of experienced professionals will guide them through the process imparting first hand knowledge and experience.
